Co-Founder, Creative Director And Chief Photographer
CurrentAt Specterras Productions we use the latest virtual reality (VR) technology to transport viewers to some of the most remote, stunning, and culturally significant locations on the planet. We pride ourselves on a level of detail that captures the finest visual characteristics, whether they be rocks, leaves, plants, or man-made structures. The experiences that we create are completely navigable, that is, the viewer is not confined to a single point of view (as is the case with 360 video technology), but is able to explore and go where they please with complete freedom of movement. While the experiences that we create are best viewed on an Oculus Rift or other VR headset, we pride ourselves on creating experiences that are not limited just to VR devices. Our device agnostic apps can be viewed on iOS and Android devices, large multimedia displays, PCs, Macs, and a variety of gaming consoles. Accessibility is fundamental to our mission, and providing experiences that can be viewed on a number of different platforms allows for a much larger audience than would otherwise be possible. Have an extensive background in photography, including computational photography, epsilon photography, videography, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, 360 video, Unity gaming-engine script design, and extensive gaming engine interface design. Managed and built relationships with high-level contacts at Oculus (our production partner), and Oculus VR for Good program. Worked with the Australian National Park Service and other production partners, including other VR production companies. Done extensive VR production fieldwork in a variety of different countries and settings. Our aim is to provide VR experiences for the purposes of ecological and cultural awareness and preservation, travel and tourism, and education.
