Profile bio

About Michael Arnoldus

Started programming games on a HP calculator at the age of 10 and been at it ever since.I'm especially fond of different programming languages - how they allow us to express different solutions to a problem and think in different ways about the same problem. My architecture goal is to find an elegant, cost-effective and precise solution to a given problem. Such a solution will stand as aesthetically pleasing and will be easy to write, read, test and maintain - completely obvious after the fact.Very early in my career I came to the conclusion that the most important ingredient in a successful project is the people - their ability to work together and to communicate. That goes for communication between developers as well as with management, end users and other stakeholders. This has led me to explore how to build the optimal development process along with developing team workflow models that elicit the best results by understanding how individuals and groups function together and manage conflict to achieve the objective of the project. While being highly proficient at technology solutions, and deeply interested in the connection between technology and humans, I have become more and more interested in the organizational and business side of things. I see my force as a unique triangle of understanding between business demands, technology and the people to develop and to use the technology.Specialties: Architecture, Development Methods (Scrum, Lean, ...), Connecting technology to business value, Inspiring people and getting them to work together, programming languages.

Listed skills include Agile Methodologies, Scrum, Software Development, Web Services, and 37 others.
