Conducted risk assessments to identify, evaluate, assess and monitor organizational-wide risks for the purposes of informing integrated business planning and priority-setting activities for the Agency.Prepared a proposal on establishing national alternative commercial border processing program that would provide accessible centralized commercial services at the Agency’s border crossings throughout Canada.Reviewing existing Agency policies to create business and operational requirements for implementing the Canada-United States cargo preclearance pilot initiative.Creating a cost recovery framework and policy as an approach for the Agency to recover its costs when operating the cargo preclearance pilot initiative.Developing a business process flow model to implement the Agency cargo preclearance initiative at United States Customs & Border Protection border crossings.

Developed and integrated a risk profile for the Ecosystems & Fisheries Management (EFM) Sector into the Department of Fisheries & Oceans' Corporate Risk Profile, Corporate Business Plan and the Report on Plans and Priorities.

I participated, planned and led various multi-disciplinary, inter/intra-departmental project teams to evaluate and review private-sector IT products and services toetermine compliance with federal legislation, IT policies and standards. I gained experience in managing and co-ordinating Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), along with developing privacy risk-mitigation strategies, for a series of Secure Channel and IT Shared- Services Organization (IT-SSO) common service projects. In an advisory capacity, I prepared and edited briefing materials, presentations, business cases and reports for senior officials on the privacy and security implications of establishing (GOL) and Secure Channel products, programs and services for general public use.

Contributed to the development, co-ordination and implementation of the TBS PIA Policy & Guidelines. Participated in consultations with departments and agencies on how to co-ordinate and implement the requirements of the PIA Policy and Guidelines into their GOL programs and services.

Acquired extensive knowledge on the provisions of the Access to Information and Privacy Acts (ATIP), policies and guidelines by examining court cases, legal opinions, Parliamentary proceedings and other information sources. Prepared and edited briefing notes and reports for senior officials on ATIP matters related to GOL content and information management policies of Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS).
