As head of the department, my responsibilities are wide-ranging, from people management and leadership to business development and operations. Happily, I still have plenty of opportunity to execute content marketing which allows me to collaborate with the brilliant brains across all of our departments and ensures that I remain connected to the practice and have the ability to anticipate key future trends.My role involves;• Full responsibility for achieving business targets for the Content department. • Managing people including recruitment, onboarding and their professional development.• Driving content-related innovation for the business using the OKR (Objective and Key Results) framework.• Speaking at national and international conferences including 3XE Digital and Content Marketing Fast Forward and guest lecturing in Dublin City University to promote content marketing.• Writing award entries for Digital Media Awards, European Search Awards, European Content Awards, Irish Content Marketing Awards and the Content Marketing Institute's CMAs.• Creating and running collaborative content strategy workshops with clients.• Delivering content training to clients.• Building relationships with prospects by analysing their existing marketing and the landscape in which they operate and preparing and explaining proposed content-led solutions.• Managing content marketing strategy and execution for clients, ensuring strong communications throughout, finding opportunities for collaboration, reporting on results, and identifying new marketing opportunities, whether they be in SEO and Content or in another area of their marketing strategy. • I strive to offer support to anyone across the company however I can.
