Coastal Shellfish long-lines are suspended in the water column and cause highly limited bottom disturbance. Coastal Shellfish Corporation has been endorsed by Dr. David Suzuki for its sustainable shellfish production and for its carbon sequestration. Indeed, carbon sequestration in bi-valve shells is considered to be one of the most efficient carbon capture methods.Coastal Shellfish currently employs 30 full-time, year round employees.
