I am responsible for effectively communicating the mission and vision of Multnomah University to drive our marketing and public relations efforts. My Content Manager duties include managing the university's social media pages, writing blogs, press releases, email and ad campaigns, and other print and digital marketing materials. As the Public Relations Specialist, I guide university leadership through times of transition and crisis, provide consultation and support to the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and engage with the media to best represent Multnomah University. In both roles, I strive to stay current on industry trends and the university's ever-growing cultural identity and vision for the future. I believe a good marketer and public relations professional listens to the voices of the university's key stakeholders and seeks out the insights of historically silenced voices. My two proudest accomplishments thus far are my promotion from Copywriter to Content Manager and the university's astound growth in enrollment by 100% over the past academic year.

My role as the Campus Recreation Marketing Graduate Assistant was to drive student engagement and prospective student interest in the school's Outdoor Adventure, Intramural Sports, and Student Life Center (SLC) programs. I achieved these goals by producing and editing print and digital marketing content, overseeing a team of ~ten student employees, and collaborating with other university departments on marketing initiatives.I was particularly proud of my constructive efforts to adapt the department's content, meetings, and events in response to the Covid-19 health crisis.

After graduating from Baylor University in December 2018, I had a unique 8-month gap before I began my master's program in the fall of 2019.During this period, I had the absolute pleasure of assisting the Mendel Law Firm, L.P., establish the role of Marketing Coordinator within the firm. These efforts included organizing seminars, participating in strategy meetings, & developing a digital marketing strategy. I produced copy, photo, & video content for the firm's website, blog, social media, & other marketing initiatives. My proudest accomplishment at the firm was overseeing the redesign of the firm's website. My short stay provided a mutually beneficial opportunity for growth and learning. At the end of my time with the firm, I took on the responsibilities of hiring my replacement and developing marketing training materials to cement my efforts after my departure.

During my time as a student at Baylor University, I took on a student worker position at the school gym. I began during the summer semester and was one of the first two employees to be promoted to Supervisor within one semester. In the fall, I began my role as a supervisor. I oversaw daily operations of the fitness center, including customer relations, supervision of 30+ employees, and general maintenance upkeep. I also had the opportunity and joy to lead and mentor a team of four employees. My five fellow supervisors and I participated in monthly strategy & development meetings with upper management and organization-wide progress and team-building meetings. My time as a supervisor ended after I graduated from Baylor in December of 2018.

For three years I had the opportunity to play a number of fun and eccentric characters at children's birthday parties. It was a fun and challenging position that demanded a positive attitude and ability to work on your feet. Additionally, I participated in brainstorming sessions with the owner to constantly evolve and develop the small business which required creativity and an eye for opportunity.
