Michael Bacarella has over a decade of experience in information technology management. He is currently the Executive Director of IT Strategy for the City of New York Taxi and Limousine Commission and oversees the Software Development, Quality Assurance and Project Management teams. Michael earned his Professional Scrum Master Level II certification in 2022 and is an advocate and practitioner of agile software delivery. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).Previously, Michael worked at the NYC Department of Information, Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT), now the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) as a software development manager where his team implemented and supported applications for the City Clerk's Office, Family Justice Center, and the TLC. He also built DoITT's SAML Identity Provider and oversaw their CI/CD solution.
