Graduated at the top of my class for Primary Leadership School (PLC) and passed the board for E-5.Provided security support for the Camp David Accords that were signed by Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in September of 1978. Earned the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Interesting note: In my third year, all Vulcan and FAAR Radar techs had to take the Vulcan Weapon Systems Competency Test. Having not worked on the Vulcan system in years, I still scored a 98% on the test, beating all techs in the 82nd Airborne that were currently working on the Vulcan.

With no food, we hiked down the mountain, fighting off frostbite and disorientation due to zero visibility.
