I worked on the HR integration microservice which enabled clients to sync user data with the Grovo SAAS platform. Namely (HR Platform) was the first HR system that we integrated with. The code is abstracted so that adding new HR Providers requires minimal additions.

I built the Campaign and Assignment microservice for the Grovo SAAS platform. This enabled organizations to create campaigns that are linked to lessons and tracks and then assign those campaigns to certain users or groups. I also contributed to internally libraries that are shared among the various microservices.

I was responsible for leading the Engineering efforts for Gozengo. Since the team was small it was important that every new hire was highly skilled. I played a very hands-on role with the team - commit code, opening Pull Requests and participating in code review as often as I could. Even though code quality was the number one priority for the team we still kept to tight product deadlines. We were a very successful engineering team and I would definitely do it again given the opportunity.

Stealth Travel had spun off into Gozengo. As part of the Framework team I was in charge of the site’s infrastructure. One of my primary initiatives was adding features to our backend systems so our accounting team could reconcile invoices as well as month-end reports. I also integrated our backend systems with Zoho Books.

I worked on a B2B travel platform that was designed to modernize the aging travel technology platforms in existence. Towards the end I worked on a B2C travel experience which was branded Gozengo. The two verticals initially shared the same codebase with a Symfony/Backbone stack, but then later were split.

I was recruited internally to pioneer our Android Team and build out a full native app for our AYI product. I strictly followed the Android Developer guidelines, principles, and best practices. I used open source libraries to maintain backwards compatibility with older devices. I setup our Jenkins CI Server to automate the build process with Gradle and DeployGate.

My individual focus was making sure the continuous payment process was very smooth and automated error detection and resolution in a fast paced agile environment.
