I have spent my career in the forestry and nature-based solutions investment management industry, working on funds and strategies in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada, Asia and Africa. The part of my work that I enjoy the most is observing and considering the intersection between investment, economics, public policy, ecology, and sustainability. I also enjoy working with real and tangible assets in interesting places and communities around the world. Before my current position, I had a lead role in New Forests’ investments team originating deal opportunities and managing the investment of capital for our funds in Australia and New Zealand. In this role I led or contributed to the investment of more than AUD 2 billion, generating a strong track record for our clients and our business. Prior to this I worked in other roles at New Forests including in our asset management team, and as an analyst. Outside of the office I have a beautiful wife, four kids and a dog – we enjoy living in the moment and spending time with our family and friends. I am also an Australian Rules Football enthusiast, supporting the mighty Sydney Swans and volunteering at the local senior and junior AFL clubs. I even decided to lace up the boots for the first time in my late 30’s and I feel like any day I could get a call to join the big league…….. my body and talent level disagree.
