Developer, Digital Printing Dept

Be'Eri Print

The department specialized in printing high quality, color, personalized documents, mainly for the banking and the telecom industries. I started as a machine operator (Xeikon DCP-32D) and began programming for the department (on my own). Created several programs. Noteworthy are: * DigPrint: a fully automated, scalable and "open" file processing application suite, that created printer-ready files from raw data files. Until the department was closed (2005), this suite was the main tool the department used to prepare documents, including all the Israeli driver licenses. * OTK: Versatile record retrieval program. * kipPOD: An automation program for creating Print-On-Demand documents. * Entropy: A data-processing language and an IDE for it. Used to manipulate raw record data.
