Working as developer/architect/researcher on various software projects, including research projects, and on writing research grants (including NSF, NIH). Taking active part at the Privacy Tools for Sharing Research Data (http://privacytools.seas.harvard.edu), an NSF-funded project conducted at Harvard. My projects include contributions to Dataverse (http://datascience.iq.harvard.edu/dataverse), where I work on the design and implementation of permission-based security, and DataTags (http://datascience.iq.harvard.edu/datatags) where I design and implement programming languages, a runtime engine, tools and web servers for interactively tagging data sets.In Addition, I contribute and write white papers and present on various technological topics (see links below).

Codeworth is a boutique software studio, providing high-quality software consultancy services. We mainly focus on complex domains, such as legal modeling, novel visualizations, and rich information systems. Codeworth clients include government, NGOs, non-profits, academic institutes, and commercial companies. For some, we have improved existing systems. For others, we created new systems, starting with requirement elicitation and moving to a working system.

Thesis subject: Extending Behavioral Programming for Model-Driven Engineering.

Head of programming team. Taking systems from the requirements phase to implementation, and beyond (v2, 3...), both internal and client-facing. Creating methodologies, development environments and reusable component libraries. Design and implementation of high-volume production systems. Teaching. Driving outsourced projects.

Development of front-end passenger airline departure control system. Development of new components, advanced swing components and infrastructure, refactoring of legacy/buggy components.

IT infrastructure maintenance and consulting, user support, development of automated maintenance scripts.

(Self-employed) Various greenfield projects, web sites (political candidates, real-estate management...), scientific software, general cutting edge stuff (read: modules/tools/idioms that can't be used yet in large, legacy-heavy projects).

The company was founded by the CEO of PrintMyAlbum (see below), after the latter was closed. PrintMemories specialized in creating on-line photo albums and producing high quality hard copies of them. I was asked by the CEO to join him in this company. Among my responsibilities were: * Technology management: choosing technologies, setting development goals and schedules and seeing them through. * Design and development of a server application for printing digital images on Indigo digital presses. Creating web sites for managing web albums and ordering prints on-line. * Webmaster (including graphic design of the site). * System administration.

Designed and developed the main application server of the company, that was among the pioneers in creating and printing web-based photo albums. The company consisted of 3-4 people, of which I was to only technologist. I handled both the software aspects and the digital printing aspects of the operation.

The department specialized in printing high quality, color, personalized documents, mainly for the banking and the telecom industries. At the time, digital printing was a new area, and very little software was available. The department won the Xeikon Diamond award for application of digital printing, for developing and printing special coupons. I started as a machine operator (Xeikon DCP-32D) and began programming for the department (on my own). Created several programs. Noteworthy are: * DigPrint: a fully automated, scalable and "open" file processing application suite, that created printer-ready files from raw data files. Until the department was closed (2005), this suite was the main tool the department used to prepare documents, including all the Israeli driver licenses. * OTK: Versatile record retrieval program. * kipPOD: An automation program for creating Print-On-Demand documents. * Entropy: A data-processing language and an IDE for it. Used to manipulate raw record data.
