Since September of 2005, I have worked directly with inventors, corporate legal counsel, and small-business entrepreneurs to develop and manage their intellectual property portfolios. This includes consultation on what types of intellectual property to pursue for inventions and brand names (e.g., utility and/or design patents, trademarks), strategies for obtaining intellectual property rights, and how to use intellectual property as a business asset (i.e., enforcement, licensing). I have also helped clients with matters related to intellectual property rights, such as work for hire, nondisclosure, joint development, and joint business venture agreements.
