Oversaw all aspects of regulatory compliance that applied to Verizon’s Fios video service, segment of $12B Fios line of business. Prepared and filed 12 to 15 semiannual copyright statements of account and royalty fee payments up to $40M annually. Developed, implemented, and monitored compliance processes across a wide range of business units.• Analyzed local rate change proposals and private carriage status; made recommendations that saved over $30M in copyright royalty fees.• Spearheaded overall compliance with federal, state, and local regulations that applied to Fios video service for over ten years without penalty.• Prepared and filed over 240 copyright statements of account while streamlining process to save time each period.• Coordinated external audit of Verizon New York copyright statement of account, while accurately responding to 25 inquiries from U.S. Copyright Office.

Led team of three staff accountants in charge of affiliate accounting and billing required among Verizon affiliates in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Reviewed and approved SAP journal entries in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Coordinated successful external audits of cost allocation manual required by FCC. Coached team of staff accountants by setting performance goals, allocating resources, and coordinating workloads during company transformations.

Led team of six staff accountants responsible for regulatory reporting, earning analysis, rate cases, and overall financial support of Verizon Wireline Telephone Companies. Reviewed and approved federal, state, and local regulatory reports and earnings analyses for multiple legal entities. Served as coordinator for work design implementation team chartered to better align work requirements and processes with individuals across the entire regulatory organization. Prepared and/or reviewed written testimony used in regulatory proceedings and provided regulated earnings analysis to senior management.

Prepared and filed both routine and non-routine regulatory filings in support of GTE’s Wireline Telephone Companies’ affiliate compliance requirements. Streamlined affiliate compliance reporting processes and developed cradle-to-grave procedure for filing and approval of affiliate agreements.

Completed internal audits that focused on the adequacy of internal controls, as well as identification of process improvement opportunities across multiple lines of business and functions. Significant audits and projects included accounts payable, treasury, retail phone marts, bill quality, and competitive local exchange carrier controls advisory team.
