We also deliberate on the upcoming period, suggesting adaptations and reinforcing emerging opportunities. The Consórcio Cerrado das Águas (CCA) is a collaborative platform involving various sectors, including companies, government, and civil society. Our goal is to unite efforts for environmental preservation and conservation to combat climate change, primarily through the positive influence of the coffee sector. Over the past two years, I've devoted much of my time to investing in Nature Invest, Brazil's pioneering crowdfunding platform for social and environmental projects. This platform empowers small projects to raise funds and showcase their solutions to Brazilian audiences and internationally. Projects can be initiated by small NGOs or individuals and funded by large private companies or contributors. During the reporting, ESG ratings, indicators, and SDG course, I had the opportunity to lecture in two different semesters on some of the basic concepts of environmental economics, like externalities, risk mitigation, circular economy, and growth limits. This discussion was refined, introducing the need to reformulate consistent and transparent indicators and how to formulate them. The GRI standards were depicted and translated, and several SCR reports were analyzed regarding their adherence to this standard. The SDGs were analyzed and put into the context of ESG. Furthermore, the framework and report landscape - e.g., TCFD, TNFD, SBTi, CDP, EFRAG - was described.

I was responsible for the regional implementation of the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) in the Cerrado Biodiversity Hotspot. The CEPF (www.cepf.net) is a special fund designed to help safeguard the world's most diverse and threatened biodiversity areas.In the Cerrado, the work of the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) is of utmost importance. It comprises the coordination of the investment according to the ecosystem profile of the Cerrado hotspot; the support to mainstream biodiversity and landscape protection into public policies and private sector business practices; the communications of CEPF investment throughout the hotspot; the support and capacity building of local civil society actors; and the monitoring and evaluation of CEPF's grantees and their projects. I led this initiative supported by the International Institute of Environmental Education (http://www.iieb.org.br/) and its team, and we are committed to making a significant difference in the conservation of the Cerrado biodiversity hotspot.

EcosSISTEMAS is a consultancy specializing in developing sustainability strategies for projects, non-governmental organizations, enterprises, cities, and supply chains. We use water and carbon footprinting, the ecological footprint, environmental valuation, risk analysis, and certification schemes as tools to design the best sustainable solutions for our clients.We already worked on the BONSUCRO, RAS, FSC, RSPO, RTRS e RTFO- Greenergy certification schemes and developed climate change risk scenarios for 10 commodities in Latin American countries.EcosSISTEMAS believes that economic activities are important for promoting growth, should have a positive impact on society, and promote authentic transformation for a better future.

My responsibilities included overseeing five distinct conservation programs with a multidisciplinary team of 33 professionals operating across various locations in Brazil. As a member of the senior management team, I was accountable for the overall execution of conservation program plans and budgets, as well as the oversight of impact assessments. I managed nearly half of the organization's conservation budget, amounting to R$20.5 million.Fundraising and donor relations were also key aspects of my role. Over the years, I cultivated and managed relationships with partners and donors, including Ambev, Banco do Brasil, HSBC, Arcos Dorados, Rabobank Brasil, and Sistema UNO. This role involved difficult negotiations and decisions, sometimes requiring the decline of funding or collaboration to uphold the organization's principles, credibility, and mission.International relations were another critical component of my work, given WWF-Brasil's integration within the global WWF network. I had the opportunity to influence WWF's network strategies while adapting them to Brazil's context as an emerging global economy. My contributions to the organization's strategy were pivotal in bridging national and network strategies.In 2014, WWF-Brasil employed 139 staff members.

I led all aspects of programmatic design and implementation, including strategic and adaptive planning, fundraising, contracting, detailed work plans, budget management, monitoring plans, and project evaluation. I managed a multidisciplinary team of ten professionals, delegating some of these responsibilities as needed.I represented WWF-Brasil and our programs at international forums and national committees, including the Ramsar Convention national working group. Additionally, I coordinated with environmental authorities at both state and national levels.My work included collaboration with the cattle ranching sector to facilitate a sustainable beef supply chain in the Pantanal, implementation of sustainable water resources policies, and strategies for climate change adaptation in the region. I also coordinated land-use planning activities in the Cerrado. Specific projects I oversaw included the Footprint studies for Campo Grande and São Paulo, feasibility studies of sustainable cattle ranching practices, assessments of land use, dams, and hydropower in the Pantanal watershed, and land-use planning in the protected areas of northern Minas Gerais.I worked closely with the cattle ranching sector at the national level through the Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock and represented WWF-Brasil in the WWF network's transboundary initiative to safeguard the Pantanal, a wetland shared with Bolivia and Paraguay.At WWF-Brasil, I contributed to the development of the organization's conservation strategy and participated in discussions on global strategies for market transformation and sustainable supply chains within the WWF network.

I also supervised collaboration with state authorities in Mato Grosso do Sul to evaluate the protected areas system and worked with an association of private landowners to promote the creation of privately held protected areas.In the Pantanal, I supported local associations in developing products based on local resources and worked with local schools to promote local culture.
