During a second-grade field trip to the studios of WCET, channel 48, I witnessed how they made a king appear on his throne out of thin air. To a second grader, that was the coolest thing ever. It was that day I found my calling and passion as a Video/Broadcast Engineer.After attending the University of Cincinnati and studying radio/TV/film, I joined the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Technician, where I learned the building blocks of circuit design and repair, electronic theory, satellite communications, and much more. This experience laid the foundation for my 30-year career as a Video/Broadcast Engineer.I possess a vast and unique skillset that can only be learned by having in-depth, hands-on experience. I have been a first-hand witness to the numerous changes in the AV and broadcasting industries. I was part of the conversion from analog to digital. I was on the leading edge of the introduction of compressed video. I worked with countless TV stations across the country on the 2 GHz Relocation project and currently play an instrumental role in the FCC repack. Needless to say, I’ve seen it all!Over my career, I have designed and implemented systems for small business, corporate, government, and military clients.
