After almost twenty years trading and managing risk in global currency markets and derivative products, I left to have another career. That was the plan all along, but “librarian” frankly was not on my short-list. However, as I began to look into becoming a librarian, I started to appreciate the quite fascinating 21st Century version of the library field and the idea got more and more interesting. So I got another Masters and dove in.After a period of juggling two part-time jobs and a side consulting gig, I was given responsibility for Adult Programs at Wilton Library in Wilton, CT just one town over from my home. In that capacity, I’ve been growing the program side of the library with informational presentations, educational lectures and literary seminars, enriching programs on the arts, film, music, cuisine, and producing a variety of concerts - most notably our annual Hot & Cool Jazz series.With the move to Wilton Library of The Brubeck Collection, one of the world’s premiere jazz archives, I’m now also responsible for the physical and digital archives as well as educational and cultural programming related to Dave Brubeck, his life and music, and his family. Whether you’re a jazz aficionado or simply curious, come over for a visit!
