I am delighted to join GO Ministries. This global mission’s organization has been part of my Christian walk for over 15 years. Throughout my career, I have pursued being a leader in the organization I was working for while also attempting to model being a Christian man at the same time. Sometimes that worked, sometimes not so much. Several years ago, I read “Half Time- Moving from Success to significance" by Bob Buford. He provided the words to the thoughts and feeling going on in my head and heart. He discusses that at some point in your career, you begin to think about making a difference as a priority and not just make money. More aptly put, he said best by identifying the 'smoldering discontent inside me...doing what I have been doing’. Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed my journey to get to this place but, I knew I wasn’t doing what I was called to do. As Jim Collin's said, "Why capitulate to irrelevance after we spend decades accumulating empirical wisdom."My goal is to utilize the talents God has blessed and trusted me with, using the experiences, skills and training afforded me over my career to further His kingdom. My new role will allow me to focus on the four Focused Areas of Ministry at GO through outreach for sponsorships and development of new programs, processes, and workflows. GO's primary goal is to Empower local leaders to Redeem People, Renew Communities and Restore Creation through Mutual Transformation. Mutual Transformation-that is the key. It is not enough to 'just' transform someone else's life but to engage the donors as well as children of God.
