I was a student manager at Woody's Tavern, located within the Ohio Union at The Ohio State University. I started my job as a student cook before being promoted to bartender, student lead, and eventually student manager. I trained new employees, gave directions, cooked/bar tended/cleaned/worked front of house, and stayed after other employees left during closing shift to ensure that everything was closed down properly. In addition, if a customer had an issue or a specific request I would oftentimes be the one to answer to them.

I worked at 50 West Brewing Company over my junior year summer break. I worked at two locations: the 50 West Brewpub and the 50 West Production Works. At the Brewpub, my job primarily involved washing dishes, working the salad station, being the prep cook and cleaning the place after close. At the Production Works my job entailed prepping food, cooking high quality burgers/wings/saratoga chips, occasionally serving, and cleaning the place each close. I also worked miscellaneous jobs during special events, such as an event in which we hosted boxing matches between many of the craft breweries in Cincinnati.

I worked here for my Sophomore year summer break. My job entailed arriving to the concert ground, normally at 7:00 AM, and doing everything from cleaning bathrooms, to hosing down the pavilion, bringing waste to the trash compactor, killing weeds and more. We also set up for any concerts, primarily by arranging the seats and thoroughly cleaning the areas in which the musicians and VIP fans would be residing.

This was my summer job following my Freshman year at college. I worked Monday-Friday in an assembly and was tasked with assembling chemical dispensing machinery every day. This machinery varied from remote controlled pumps to simple hand-operated pumps. Individual teams within the workforce would be designated to specific machines they would manufacture, with each person tasked with building one specific component before passing it on to the next person who would then add their component. It was similar to an assembly line.

This was my first job and the one that I worked in high school and my summer break after my Freshman year, alongside my job at Hydro Systems Co. It was a standard Subway experience in which we prepped food throughout the day, made sandwiches primarily during the rushes of breakfast, lunch and dinner, and spent the remainder of the time cleaning the restaurant and ensuring it was functioning properly. This job involved working with suppliers, handling money and plenty of customer interaction.
