About Mike Bettley

I'm a highly experienced people leader and mentor in talent acquisition, HR, sourcing, talent intelligence, and people analytics space. With more than a decade of experience ranging from industry shaping titans like Google & Thomson Reuters, through to disruptive start-ups from Series A-C, I'm comfortable navigating to the core of problems and incisively solving them. Having fallen into recruitment out of school (didn't we all?!) it wasn't initially an obvious calling for me, but a serendipitous opportunity with Google opened my eyes to what Talent Acquisition could be! After moving to Toronto, I've helped scale two companies (so far); Flipp went from 320-450+ in under a year, and at Opencare I built Talent from the ground up taking us from 19-130+ in 18 months. I joined Thomson Reuters to build a world-class talent sourcing and talent intelligence function as we moved through a huge transition phase. My most recent role was an evolution of my passion for using data to inform decision making, and making data less scary for everyone!
