Skills Canada Alberta is entering its 25th year of promoting careers in skilled trades and technologies for Alberta's youth. This takes place with annual provincial skills competitions at the high school and post-secondary levels, trades explorations - a new program to introduce trades to the junior high level students and the GETT (Girls Exploring Trades & Technologies) Conference. I am really proud of the work that Skills does to promote trades and educate Alberta youth and their parents about the value of a career in the trades and look forward to an exciting 25th year.

The Resource Diversification Council (RDC) is a non-profit association dedicated to realizing the full potential of Alberta’s abundant natural resources by expanding and diversifying Alberta’s resource manufacturing industries. Its Council members are industry and association leaders who share a mutual interest in advancing Alberta’s resource value added sector.

I brought my passion for engagement and for building community to this exciting role with the Building Trades of Alberta. With over 75,000 skilled building trade professionals in 16 trade unions across Alberta, as well as owners, contractors, people thinking about getting into the trades and even the public at large, there is an amazing opportunity to create a strategic communications program which will encourage all stakeholders to engage more fully and see the BTA as the source for information and support with regard to the building trades.

I combine Bachelor’s degrees in both Commerce and Education and an executive MBA with nearly twenty years of varied leadership, education and facilitation experience. I have extensive experience in the not-for-profit and public sectors where I use my training as a teacher to engage with clients, focusing on building rapport and skills. I continue to use my varied experience to ensure that participants are engaged and energized by my training sessions and look forward to interacting with clients more directly in the future.

The Aspen Foundation is dedicated to providing citizens with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that empower them to contribute fully to a healthy, just, and democratic workplace,​ community, and society through participation in labour and social justice initiatives.​The goal of the Aspen Foundation is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes toward work and social justice issues in order for youth to fully participate in their workplace, community, and society, encouraging them to become engaged citizens.

AUMA is an organization dedicated to supporting Alberta municipalities through political advocacy and provision of aggregated business services. Founded in 1905, they developed competencies and experience in the municipal government world. Beginning in the 1960s, they leveraged that expertise into providing business services including insurance, employee benefits, energy, investments, retirement services and many other necessary supports for our members. They have also expanded from dealing strictly with municipalities to providing services to municipally-related organizations and other not-for-profit entities.Acting as the key relationship manager between AUMA members and all of the AMSC service portfolios, my primary mandates were to retain and grow the AMSC business through a comprehensive client relationship strategy. I identified new service / client opportunities and grow the compliment of services offered to AUMA members and ensured service levels are achieved and sales targets were met through developing and nurturing strong business relationships with clients.In addition, through the creation and implementation of a comprehensive, organization-wide sales plan, I worked to enhance the value of participation in each line of business as well as overall membership in the organization.

Work with the planning team on the design and concept of the bungy jump / restaurant.Plan marketing program.Provide input on all areas of operations and planning.
