Director of a nation-wide project funded by the Ford Foundation to assist minicipalities across the US develop urban intern programs patterned along the lines of the NYC Urban Corps. By July, 1970, nearly eighty cities, counties and states had organized or were in the process of developing Urban Corps programs, and 54 were in operation.

Co-founder and first executive director of the nation's first large scale college student intern program devoted exclusively to bringing young people into direct contact with progressive city government.
