Working on the next generation of armored Ground Combat Vehicle systems to develop a M-2 Bradley IFV replacement for Elbit Systems of America (ESA). ESA is a U.S.-based wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd., a leading global source of innovative, technology based systems for diverse defense and commercial applications. Integrating improved weapon systems such as Iron VisionTM Combat Vehicle Helmet Mounted Situational Awareness system, Remote Weapon Systems, and Ruggedized Command and Control modules into new designs or upgrading existing armored vehicles.

I took a two year sabbatical from work, as I had an opportunity to purchase a sailboat, so I decided to spend some time sailing in the summer and I also wanted to work on restoring my antique barn (structural, painting and replacing siding and windows). I have completed the work on my barn and enjoyed my time sailing the New England seas and I am now ready to rejoin the workforce.

Working in the BAE Manufacturing Operations department as a Process Engineer in the Electro-Optic Missile Sensors (EOMS) department which is the sensor part of the Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasure System (ATIRCM)/Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) or AN/AAR-57 CMWS system. The EOMS utilized RF components, IR optic sensors, micro-circuits and electro-mechanical components in its construction to provide a rugged battlefield sensor which detects incoming missiles, provides warning to the crew, and allows countermeasures to be taken. As a Process Engineer working on the production floor daily, I optimized and documented production processes utilizing Solumina and solved daily problems encountered by the assembly operators and interacted with Design Engineering to develop better assembly techniques and materials.

Contract employee for CSS Systems at BAE Systems as a Methods Specialist/Process Engineering Analyst (Operations Research Analyst). Working to optimize and document the most efficient sequence of processes to streamline systems operations from component to final assembly in a box build environment. Developed, modified and maintained route cards and transferred a large number (60+) of process documents from multiple factories using MS Word format to Solumina Factory Manufacturing System format. Performed technical writing using MS Office, VISIO, Adobe Acrobat, Autodesk AutoCAD, and AutoSketch.

Integrated Defense Systems’ Undersea & Electronics Systems Department as part of the Mechanical Engineering Directorate (MED) leads in mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system equipment. MED uses state-of-the-art tools, processes technology and Raytheon Six Sigma principles. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, I lead detailed design, documentation, fabrication, assembly and test of high reliability mechanical and electronic systems for various military and Government applications. Working as part of an integrated product team, I demonstrate broad technical expertise in the mechanical engineering field with full knowledge of all other related disciplines. Using Pro/Engineer CAD modeling tools and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing methods to design electronic enclosures and package custom and Commercial Off The Shelf electronics within those enclosures. Provide engineering oversight to Environmental Laboratory technicians to develop, test, evaluate, and document results of production CCA's and equipment, and engineering prototypes.
