I am currently a third year student at University of Mississippi's School of Business. I am studying finance and one day hope to work in private equity/ money management. I am hoping to use skills I learned through my high school career and community service to further my experience and education. I have worked a few years as a caddie. through my work as a caddie I have had to work hard carrying bags and helping set up for large golf events. On the course we are responsible for taking care of the golfer as well as the course. We also must be professional because it is a country club. Being polite and professional towards the members is expected and required. This has given me some feel for what would be expected of me at a future job. Through my community service, I have learned to work with a group to reach a goal and to be truly compassionate towards others. I Have worked to help multiple organizations and have raised over 3,000 dollars in the process. I used personal contacts and multiple forms of social media to raise this amount. My work with Relay for Life is especially important to me because I lost my grandfather to cancer a few years ago, so I feel compassion for others going through what he did. I plan to continue working hard through my college career. I am currently taking business classes to further develop my understanding of the business world and am excited to see where it will take me.
