An accomplished hydrogeologist, hydrologist and environmental consultant with expertise including hydrogeology and hydrology, groundwater and surface water modelling, environmental approvals, contaminated land and remediation, geological interpretation, salinity, coal seam gas, mining and engineering hydrology, roads and tunnels, wastewater re-use, and land capability assessment.Extensive modelling experience includes regional-scale numerical modelling for water resource management and water supply, modelling and conceptualisation for coal seam gas studies, contaminant transport and decay modelling of organic pollutants, and particle transport modelling for groundwater remediation systems.Experienced in modelling surface water systems and runoff generation, including the impacts of climate change, at scales ranging from local site models through to stream catchment and river basin models and flood models. Experience in water balance modelling including for mine and industrial water process circuits, including assessment of water supply reliability and sensitivity to climate variability.Worked extensively with government and stakeholders on environmental approvals for high profile projects. Provides specialist advice to environmental auditors in Victoria, NSW, SA and WA, has experience as an expert witness before Court, and experience as a peer reviewer.A thought leader with a flair for innovation and research, and with strong communication skills. Has written papers based on original research and published internationally. In addition, has written and published articles and papers for a broader public audience. Strongly developed skills and experience in building and fostering technical and commercial teams, and mentoring and training colleagues. Developed and presented many commercial environmental and groundwater training programs.
