Following the divestiture of Donnelley Financial Solutions from RR Donnelley, engaged by the operations team to evaluate specific software categories to inventory and review their existing licensing arrangements.SOFTWARE INVENTORY • Developed a global inventory of IT systems and software installed within the DFS enterprise typesetting platform. Segmented the list into “active” software based on any recent usage and high-revenue clients. • Identified the software assets and current license agreements governing each previous purchase. • Negotiated the transfer of assets from RR Donnelley to Donnelley Financial Solutions.PROCUREMENT / ONBOARDING PROCESS • Led the procurement of immediate open software licensing requests including requirements definition, price determination and license agreement negotiation. • Mapped the current and future process for procuring new software and installing in the appropriate systems. Within the process, developed a format for a centralized repository to include and inventory of the DFS software library and summary of licensing information. • Developed a concept for an online portal including a searchable inventory and software license information to be leveraged by the client support teams. • Implementing the future process for procuring a new software licenses across the enterprise.LICENSE AGREEMENTS - LONG TERM • Developed a decision tree and End User License Agreement template for key contract terms related to the licensing agreements. • Updating long-term licensing agreements with targeted providers. • Summarizes initial and on-going spend per system for budgeting.
