We also partner with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private and non-profit organizations, to enhance our preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities. We operate the city's Emergency Operations Center, and are committed to protecting and serving Albuquerque in times of crisis. We're directly responsible for ensuring the city is well-prepared to effectively respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters.

Enabled and supported the JNWC's mission of assuring Positioning, Navigation and Timing superiority for the United States Space Command. I supervised intermediate and junior analysts, operations center technicians, and trainers under contract to the JNWC. I also contributed directly as a senior analyst, focusing on space-enabled joint military operations in the Indo-Pacific region.

Transformed the commander’s intent into measurable and achievable action.Advised and assisted the commander in the consideration of all manner of policies and problems. When required, acted as the commander’s direct representative, signing correspondence on routine matters and determining lines of action in situations where the views of commander were known. Coordinated all short- and long-term strategic planning efforts, while ensuring information and communications flowed freely throughout the headquarters, in pursuit of the commander’s objectives and the organization’s mission.

Led and directed an academic department of 1 professor, 1 associate professor, and 4 lecturers that generates nearly 1,000 academic credit hours per year. Led and directed a professional military training unit which provides the Department of the Navy with highly-educated, mentally tough, physically prepared, basically-trained Officers, who are ready for service at-sea, and around the world, with the Navy and Marine Corps.

Trained, mentored, assessed, and certified Destroyer Squadron and Expeditionary Strike Group staffs for deployment to the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Persian Gulf. I directed multi-ship exercises at-sea, to ensure that these commanders and their staffs could employ their warships, helicopters, drones, and anti-piracy units in all aspects of modern maritime warfare. I conducted similar training for flotilla commanders from the navies of Canada, Australia, and Japan. I trained and certified individual destroyers, frigates, and littoral combat ships for independent operations and counter-drug missions.

Kabul, Afghanistan

I observed, reported on, and chronicled the daily operations of the NATO mission to train the Afghan armed forces and National Police in the restoration of security and civil society. I directed an international and interagency team which was responsible for turning over 150 bases, facilities, depots, and schools to the Afghan Ministry of Defense. Led a multidisciplinary team which deployed a real-time authoritative data environment to direct the facility transition effort. Led vehicle-mounted combat patrols throughout Kabul Province.

Baghdad, Iraq

I provided detailed analyses on the current military and political situation in Iraq to State Department and Military leaders. I served as one of the principal military advisors to the embassy's Political and Security Assistance sections. I also monitored the Combined Security agreement between the Kurdish Regional National Guard and the Iraqi Army and National Police. Worked with the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency and the UK's International Police Advisors to identify and map suspected former-regime mass-grave sites.

Commanded the first in class of the US Navy's most advanced warship. I was responsible for ensuring the crew and the ship was ready to conduct sustained operations at sea. I managed a multi-million dollar Navy-funded ship repair and alteration project. I led the crew in achieving advanced certifications in: marine Combined Diesel and Gas Turbine (CODAG) power plant operations, shipboard firefighting, helicopter aviation operations, electronic navigation, and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection. I also led the ship through initial testing of the Mk 110 dual-purpose naval gun and the Integrated Combat Management system, and various other ship systems trials. Conducted the first Underway Replenishment of an INDEPENDENCE-class Littoral Combat Ship.

I served as second-in-command for a crew that was training to operate a new type of fast warship for the United States Navy. I managed all professional education, directed human resources, and established the initial set of administrative procedures which governed the day-to-day operations for the ship.I ensured that all Junior Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Sailors were medically, physically, and professionally qualified to serve in this new type of ship.

My primary responsibility was leading the Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Sailors in the tactical employment, maintenance and upkeep of the ship and training/certification of the crew. Our mission was to be prepared to deploy worldwide to search for, locate, and destroy enemy anti-ship mines.

I was the Commanding Officer of a US Navy warship, based in the Persian Gulf. My primary responsibility was leading the crew of Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Sailors in the tactical employment of the ship. Our mission was to search for, locate, and destroy enemy anti-ship mines. We also conducted maritime salvage/recovery and security patrol missions, as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

As the personal assistant to the Chief of Naval Personnel (CNP), I was responsible for managing and directing the CNP's daily schedule, office appointments, key leader engagements, domestic and international travel, and personal communications. I was also directly responsible for the CNP's numerous visits to the fleet's Sailors, both at home and abroad. Gained insight into complex Navy-specific, Joint Services, cabinet-level and congressional decision-making processes regarding military personnel management.

Also responsible for protecting and preserving the ship from corrosion.1995: Led the division responsible for the ship’s main naval gun, qualifying the ship’s security personnel in the use of service weapons and protecting the ship in port. Also responsible for training, outfitting, qualifying, and leading the teams used in boarding suspected pirate, terrorist, or captured enemy vessels.
