Bunch is the smart shopping assistant for wine. It evaluates thousands of wines from top retailers to discover the most interesting, highest rated, and best value wines 100% customized for your style and budget. It's like your very own wine club.

Personal side-project: global crowdfunding platform for wineries that build direct relationships with consumers, who in turn make large scale group purchases of wine ($20K - $100K+ purchases). Cruzu provides global logistics support that allows any winery in the world to sell directly to US consumers. In 2022 launched the "self-buying" wine project which combines crowdfunding with crypto yield generation in an effort to reduce wine cost to zero.

Multiple natural language processing projects including general conversation and task-based chatbots. Implemented and integrated one-shot grammatical error correction into voice chatbot workflow. "Yahoo Finance for auctions." Auction analytics and portfolio management system including distributed data crawling and integration, image processing for content extraction and quality grading, stock market-type analytics and a UI for analysis of auction opportunities.Bay Area non-profit consulting for legal services organizations. Generative recipe and fulfillment system (think Blue Apron + Chef Watson @ 50% of cost). Based on a knowledge system that models how chefs think and learn over time, it gives home cooks the power to create beautiful food, completely personalized to their dietary, cost and time constraints. Any third party fulfiller can plug in to deliver ingredients.

Virtual sales agent for consumer products. Responsible for product ideation, product management and engineering management for natural language-based sales tools that combine deep learning with sales psychology to persuade users to make complex purchase decisions. Deployed to multiple retailers, including a $4B wine retailer to over 120,000 MAUs. Built seven person Ukrainian dev and data science team and personally designed and coded the NLU engine. Created plan and implemented second product: a marketplace subscription model that optimizes bundle selection across a network of wine retailers representing over 50,000 wines.

An "intent matching engine" that connected counterparties around structured needs and capabilities. Goal was to create an efficient, internet-scale alternative to the trillions of dollars spent on traditional marketing and shopping. Built network service and beta mobile app.

Founded the world's largest urban winery. Grew company to $10m+ in annual revenue, 70 employees and a 50,000 sq ft facility in San Francisco with operations in Bordeaux and Japan. Drove the development of a vertically integrated wine production, fulfillment, marketing and compliance infrastructure and launched Crushnet, the first social network for winemaking that was responsible for over $20m in total transactions. Launched over 200 commercial client wine brands that routinely scored in the mid-90s from major critics, and produced well over 6,000 wine brands - more than any other winery in the history of mankind. At our height, we produced over 1.5% of all commercial SKUs in the US.

Restarted company that combined machine learning and data integration to provide automated sales guidance for banking and insurance advisors. Responsible for product management, product marketing and corporate marketing, including a complete redesign of the product. Sold large-scale implementations ($500K+) to institutions such as HSBC and Deutsche Bank.

"SWIFT for the rest of us." Company commercialized internal messaging infrastructure from JP Morgan to create a Transaction Delivery Network that delivered high-value messages between financial institutions. Founding team member instrumental in raising over $30m and growing to over 70 employees in 18 months. Coordinated over 50 employees in product development and the buildout of multiple data centers and PKI CA infrastructure. Drove key alliances with consulting partners such as Accenture.

Business intelligence and analytics applications suite. Spun off company from Sybase and grew to $12m annual revenue. Raised over $60m from top-tier investors. Responsible for all marketing and product management. WhiteLight was used by banks such as Barclays and Bank of America for large-scale risk analysis and CPG companies such as Unilever for category and product management. Company was acquired by SunGard.

Responsible for third party technology evaluation for M&A activities, resulting in several acquisitions. Strategic partner interface between ISVs and Sybase. Key driver of Sybase's business intelligence strategy, including the ideation, funding and spin-off of the "Highgate" OLAP product that became WhiteLight Systems.

Implemented modern reporting systems for line maintenance using Mac and NeXTSTEP platforms. Every day 500 airplanes across the world were inspected and sometimes repaired using slow and error-prone mainframe systems. Built "Famous AMIS" - an ad-hoc query tool on top of the FAA-mandated systems that provided realtime access to airplane incidents to all management. Implemented a NeXTSTEP-based overnight planning and workflow management tool.

Built numerous strategic financial planning, budgeting and manufacturing cost accounting systems that resulted in a multi-billion ag business merger, the exiting of a $50m low-profitability canned foods business by a large CPG firm, among many smaller operational improvements for a range of industries.
