Responsible for all aspects of specialty welding projects with revenue $2MM to $14MM at domestic and international nuclear power plants. Conception to completion; estimate, proposal, client interface, contract, project plan, schedule, nuclear work procedure, risk identification and mitigation, project specific training, mobilization, cost / schedule / scope management, demobilization and billing. Specific projects conducted in accordance with WSI Quality Assurance Program include:• China – first-of-a-kind, boric acid tank complete re-lining. Improved schedule by 15% and reduced cost by 10%. • Belgium – first-of-a-kind safety relief valve piping realignments, very tight tolerance. Successful.• Mexico – high-dose, first-of-a-kind, in-situ reactor circulating water gate valve repairs. Successful.• James A Fitzpatrick, New York – high-dose, first of a kind, residual heat removal system dissimilar metal weld structural weld overlay. Successful.

Manage all aspects of 1) Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) $43 million inventory, approximately 18,000 line items and 2) Shipping & Receiving Operations. Implemented daily cycle counting - shifting from quarterly, statistical cycle counting - which, improved inventory accuracy percentage from mid 80's to near 100. Implemented bar-code tracking for all inventory transactions, improving transaction accuracy by 40%. Implemented rigorous investigation of cycle count discrepancies with cause determination and associated corrective action. This resulted in, for the first year, adding approximately $400K of "lost" material back into inventory.Developed and implemented a Manufacturing Resource Planning system to reduce inventory stocking levels following notification of impending plant shutdown. System consisted of interdependent spreadsheets and charts which, over the ensuing 15 months, reduced inventory value by approximately $2 million with no lost production due to unavailable spares.December 2009, completed BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Manager of a wide range of projects with budgets as high as $8 million. Highly successful as the Project Manager of choice for large and/or complex projects. Routinely managed as many as five active projects at a time. Selected project highlights are:On-time and within budget completion of nuclear project installing additional half million dollar vacuum pump along with required distribution header and necessary control systems. Project increased capacity and added operational flexibility.On-time and within budget completion of nuclear facility security upgrades necessitated by terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. This despite original Project Manager report at 90% design point that project could not be completed by regulator imposed deadline.On-time and within budget replacement of the upper section of a highly corroded vent stack. At least two previous attempts at replacement had failed due to inability to negotiate the complex interaction of safety, operational, environmental and radiological considerations.
