Managed all operational aspects of the nuclear supplier inspection process in support of nuclear power plant construction. Provided expertise, guidance, direction, and leadership for the group's Quality Source Inspection home office and field inspection personnel to ensure that the nuclear inspection and supplier surveillance programs, as well as its personnel, provide the needed inspection services for the active nuclear projects. In this role I performed the following:- Managed inspection processes to ensure that they were executed in a manner that supports safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives. - Managed the inspection group for nuclear fabrication activities. Maintained a qualified force of inspection personnel to provide the most efficient and effective application of resources in support projects. - Monitored overall progress on project inspection activities and continuously evaluated the use of resources. Initiated corrective action when necessary. - Monitored and evaluated inspection effectiveness. Addressed process deficiencies that prevented timely and accurate reporting of inspection information.- Captured and reported performance and best practices to facilitate continuous improvement. Assisted Engineering with the development of the Inspection Attribute List.- Reviewed of supplier proposal information and supported pre-award decision making.- Ensured all requirements of 10-CFR-50 Appendix B, NQA-1, ASME Section III, and 10-CFR-21 were met during the fabrication of commodities for nuclear construction.(Note: initially hired by Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) in May 2015 as Nuclear Inspection Manager. Westinghouse acquired (CB&I) in January 2016 and the role was renamed Supplier Quality Oversight Manager.)
