I started my career in the Air Force as a radar specialist working on the B-1 Bomber jets. After separating in 2014, I joined USAA as an insurance agent assisting members with overseas moves. In 2016, I was given the opportunity to learn coding, and after successfully completing the intensive six-month training, I started my IT career as an entry-level Oracle Database Administrator where I learned Linux, SQL and bash shell scripting. After 5 years as an Oracle DBA I transitioned over to Cybersecurity Engineering focusing on endpoint security. In 2020 I completed my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with a focus in database management. I’m currently pursuing my Masters in Cyber Security.
