Wildcat GOLDesp data take on within the Documentation Control facility AgustaWestland Helicopters, Yeovil, Somerset. Creation and update of AW159 Wildcat aircraft and components for initial aircraft electronic structure build. Population and creation of aircraft Electronic Engineering Record Card sanctions, including Weight and Moment, Concessions, transmission and auto-flight test results. Running, analysis and rectification of GOLDesp reports prior to aircraft delivery to the customer. Liaising directly with the customer and the Project Team to rectify anomalies on an ad-hoc basis. Working directly from AgustaWestland Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP) for Wildcat variant aircraft and verifying maintenance planning documentation.

Rnas Yeovilton

Administrative Management and control of the manpower requirements of a Royal Naval Air Station comprising of more than 2,500 military men and women. Liaising with the civilian contractor to supply more than 500 personnel for the annual Yeovilton Air Day. Tasks included chairing meetings, formulating time-line action plans and developing and delivering presentations and briefs to Command and nominated working parties. Additional tasks included providing manpower for the Fly Navy 100 anniversary celebrations, liaising with many stakeholders, for Navy Command Headquarters (NCHQ). Planning at a discreet level for a contentious Operation, ensuring that all avenues involved in the apportionment of suitably trained personnel across the Station were explored, minimising the effect on Operational Capability. Managers Comments: Management and leadership qualities stand alone. Direction, sense of duty and support through all levels is highly praised. Courage of conviction and strong moral character. 845 Naval Air Squadron, Rnas Yeovilton

As the Senior Air Engineering Officers Writer (AEOW) on a front line Sea King Mark 4 Commando Squadron, accountable to the Air Engineering Officer, responsible for the administration of all WOL operational tasks, reports and rectification. Also responsible for the update and upkeep of all aircraft MF700 documentation sets and publications. Office Manager of 6, maintaining support in 2 operational theatres and in the UK. Managed the initial transfer of 10 aircraft from the 9/18 monthly maintenance schedules to 15 monthly schedules, utilising WOL functionality to its maximum. Whilst deployed on OP HERRICK (Afghanistan), completed the software upgrade to WOL 2 on all squadron Portable Unix Processors (PUP). Trained two additional AEOW’s and three publications custodians over a 3 year period, ensuring smooth transition of personnel into key positions.

Accountable for the safe custodianship of all aircraft documentation including electronic records. Ensuring engineering management is briefed on scheduled major component changes by way of a weekly update. Ensuring all relevant aircraft documentation is kept up to date and within current regulations and to the highest of standards. Offering advice to engineering staff at all levels highlighting a number of component lifing anomalies which could have had significant implications for aircraft across the Sea King fleet. Training and instruction of WRAM and WOL to Leading Hands as part of gaining full supervisor status. Producing and delivering dummy supervisor oral boards in WRAM and aircraft documentation principles.

Air Engineering Department, Rnas Yeovilton

Providing assistance to the WRAM (Work Recording & Asset Management) Business Support Cell Manager in the monitoring, co-ordination and advising on the provision and business use of the WRAM system in support of forward and depth units. To provide training development plans to the Engineering Training School (ETS) for instruction of Air Engineer Officer, Senior Maintenance Rating, Senior Supervisor and Supervisor WRAM modules. Responsible for the delivery of these developed courses. Provided a consultation service to resolve WRAM business problems and address corporate WRAM issues. Carried out independent Quality Assurance inspections on aircraft documentation and WRAM.

Post qualification as an Aircraft Engineering Mechanic (AEM) provided first and second line support to various Sea King squadrons based primarily at RNAS Culdrose and RAF Boscombe Down. Carried out scheduled and out of phase maintenance, flight servicing and Modification and Technical Instruction fitment, ensuring regulations strictly adhered to.
