Prototyped adding Google search features in an iOS keyboard extension in Swift.Primary developer for the Gboard iOS client-side search experience, from query input to fetching search results and rendering them into 20+ variants of interactive search result cards.Localization support for 30+ languages, including three right-to-left languages.Designed a flexible protocol-based architecture for Gboard “mini apps” - this included restructuring Google Search as a mini app and supervising teammates in writing mini apps for YouTube and Google Maps.Hosted two interns in Summer 2017.Worked with automated testing infrastructure to speed up test runtimes, reduce flakiness, and streamline test development for the team.Built an iMessage Extension for the Google Search app.Gboard reached #1 in the US app store the weekend of launch. It also reached #1 in the Saudi Arabia app store after launching Arabic support. It was included on Time Magazine’s list of best apps of 2016, received Webby awards for mobile UX and mobile utilities, and was awarded a 2016 Product Hunt Golden Kitty for Tech Product of the Year!

Refined an internal debugging system. Developed prototypes for several features new to iOS 8, including today extensions and notification actions. Worked on a real-time harmonizer effect for the Sing! Karaoke app.

Learned iOS development through a series of summer projects that included working through the Stanford CS 193P course and the development of several apps that used UIKit, Core Motion, Core Audio, and SpriteKit.Published "BattleBats," a 2D arcade game, in the summer of 2013. BattleBats uses SpriteKit and the Kii Cloud platform to create a fun game for up to four players on a shared iPhone or iPad. Prepared a summary presentation and introduction to SpriteKit and presented at the Silicon Valley iOS Developers' Meetup on August 26, 2013. Won the Kii Cloud App Challenge Popular Choice Award, which included a $5000 cash prize and trip to Hawaii, and the Kii Cloud App Challenge NTT Docomo Sponsor Award.
