As the Plant Engineering Manager and Site Technical Lead, I leverage my extensive engineering background to drive strategic investment decisions and optimize asset reliability within the organization. My role is diverse, involving hands-on leadership in day-to-day problem-solving, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the implementation of value engineering strategies.I manage the capital budget, develop and execute strategic investment plans, and produce detailed technical specifications for new equipment and projects. My expertise extends to reverse engineering, designing custom machinery, and ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities. I am committed to fostering strong working relationships across the organization and maintaining a forward-thinking approach by staying informed about the latest innovations in the forging industry.In addition to technical responsibilities, I work closely with external bodies such as the Health & Safety Executive and SEPA, and I support the Health and Safety Manager in shaping policies that ensure safe and efficient plant operations. My goal is to drive a culture of continuous improvement, challenging existing practices to achieve greater cost efficiency, quality, and safety.
