Michael B. Weidner is ACRT’s President and Chief Executive Officer. He started with ACRT in 1998 as Director of Project Development, in which he was responsible for sales in seven western states. In 1999, he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Western Operations. That same year, he joined the ACRT board of directors to provide oversight and guide ACRT achieve its strategic objectives.In 2000, Weidner was promoted to President and Chief Operations Officer. He supervised ACRT’s transition from private ownership to its current employee stock ownership program (ESOP), as well as facilitated ESOP acquisition and coordination. In 2003, Weidner became President and Chief Executive Officer. He now provides leadership to all facets of ACRT, and has overseen the double digit growth of ACRT’s revenues and consistent growth of our share values. He is a Certified Arborist and Certified Utility Arborist of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and served on the board of directors for its Ohio Chapter from 2003–2007. He is affiliated with the Society of Municipal Arborists, the Tree Care Industry Association and the Chief Executive Network. Weidner has also served on the Research Committee of the Utility Arborist Association since 2007. From 2002 to 2013, Weidner served as a Director on The TREE Fund, a member of the Master Planning Committee of the OARDC Secrest Arboretum, where provided counsel to its director on annual events, funding and expansion. He also provided insight and guidance for organizations such as the Wooster Shade Tree Commission and the Lodi Waste water Advisory Panel.
