My career for 30+ years was the travel assistance and international emergency services industries. I was an executive with three firms, International SOS Assistance (10 years), GlobalCare (10 years) and MEDEX Global Group, now UHC Global (7 years) and four years as a captive consultant.Management responsibilities; - international operations and services (protocols, assistance services education, medical / logistic / legal / consular / government relationships worldwide)- air medical services; evacuations and repatriations (develop Decision Trees, vendor assessment criteria, negotiate strategic relationships)- medical services for international travelers and expats (prevention, triage, assessment and care)- contingency planning and disaster response - sales (corporations, missionary organizations, associations)- major accounts (relationships, education, value added services) There were three expatriate assignments (Geneva, Singapore and Hong Kong) and travel to 75+ countries as a business traveler and as an interventionist in civil and natural disasters. Air ambulance services has been an integral piece of my work since the 1970's, when I created a successful commercial air ambulance company in Atlanta, GA. I was an international flight medical team member and directed foreign mass casualty medevacs from 1978 through the mid 1990's. Continuing education is important. I attend education sessions in aviation and air medical services. Besides formal education I am a voracious reader of business periodicals across several domains.
