As a senior security Investigator for the Forensics and Investigative Response Team. Michael works with world class team members within the Verizon Research Investigations Solutions Knowledge (RISK) Team who has conducted over 100 data breach investigations within the United States as well as Internationally. A number of those investigations are currently considered to be some of the largest data breaches in history. Working closely various United States government agencies such as the FBI and the Secret Service among others. Current duties include: acquiring forensic images of compromised systems, conducting analysis on said forensic images for evidence of compromise and data exfiltration, conducting analysis on relevant log data, focus on reverse engineering and analysis of malware and malicious scripts discovered during the course of an investigation, conducting analysis of modified PIN entry devices, and writing PFI and non-PFI reports to customers detailing all of an investigation’s findings.

As a software implementation consultant. Michael developed custom application extensions using various technologies such as web services using C#/.Net, SQL/ORACLE to extend the base functionality of the Allegro application.
