As an Executive Branch Commissioner, served as head of the U.S. Delegation for work under the "Economic and Environmental Dimension" of the Vienna-based Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). In 2012, led the U.S. effort to secure the approval and passage of an OSCE Ministerial Council Declaration on Good Governance and Transparency, advancing anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and transparency initiatives throughout the 57-country region. Engaged key private sector leaders, trade associations, and stakeholders to identify and address the business community’s top market access and trade policy concerns. Led and supported numerous trade missions and conducted high-level commercial diplomacy with key trading partners supporting record growth in U.S. exports under the National Export Initiative. Served as a principal trade policy advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce; represented the department in key White House and interagency economic and trade policy making processes.
