Working in more of a management and scrum master role for a newly created remote team of 20, I was responsible for the backend architecture and development of all physical safety features in the Greenlight app. These features include Crash Detection, Family Location Sharing, and SOS, which connect and send users' data to 911 in emergencies. For the team of 20, I led sprint meetings, created social events, advised on product and coding issues/questions, connected them with other internal teams, and created tickets for tracking work.Five of the twenty engineers were backend engineers. With them and an architect, we built and seamlessly launched API services to production in 6 months without any user-facing bugs. I also worked closely with the team's architect to create our API services in a scalable and easily maintainable manner. After transitioning from the team, I continued to support the Safety team with architecture.

I was a member of the Business Enablement Team (BET 🔥). We provide tools and products enabling Greenlight's teams to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and simplify processes for our employees.In March 2022, I joined the Safety team as the Tech Lead and a backend engineer. We worked on physical safety features for our users on a new, more expensive billing plan. You can read more about my role on the Safety team in the Tech Lead section.

I manage all backend software developers (local, remote, and offshore) and work with the development team to create clean, performant software from the PostgreSQL database to the Nodejs API. I also migrated the existing architecture from Heroku to AWS using services such as Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, SQS, and more.I also worked with an AWS partner to complete the AWS Well-Architected Partner Program to improve the reliability, scalability, and security, to support 1 million mobile users each sending thousands of data points every day.Outside of technology, I attended several conferences and high-level partnership meetings, local and international, on behalf of BoardActive to explain complex technical topics in business terms.
