About Michael Carnohan

Michael Carnohan is a Vice President, Markets & Research at Hair Science. He possess expertise in project management, enterprise software, software project management, program management, strategy and 20 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I worked with Mike for over 7 years. He is innovative, creative, strategic and just a joy to work with. I would recommend Mike to any company!", "I was an Application Integration and Security Architect at Pangea Foundation from 2007-2014. My role as part of the software development team was to create web applications using .NET technologies to enable our customers to track, manage, and report their organizational and client data. In the 6 years that we worked together, Mike oversaw dozens of software projects at our organization from start to finish. He consistently exhibited healthy team spirit, strong leadership abilities and a diverse skill set. He goes the extra mile to assist team members with their tasks, and leads by enabling others with the tools, resources, and help to do their best work. Mike spent a lot of time helping other members of our team, from customer support matters: training customers and helping troubleshoot user scenarios, to helping with development workflow: reviewing code and assisting with deployment issues. All of which were well outside of his job description, but vital in contributing to the success of the overall team. During our busiest days, he was available to address issues, and would perform the necessary tasks needed to serve the best interest of the company and our staff. Mike was the primary resource for communicating customer's needs to our development team. A large part of his responsibility involved managing company’s resources optimally to meet the needs of new and existing clients. Mike was there step-by-step listening carefully to client’s needs, and would design solutions to meet them. He provided those solutions to our team, and reviewed our progress, ultimately helping to hone in on exactly what the customer was looking for in an involved and constructive way. Mike’s inherently a technical leader. His technical skills include server administration (configuring IIS and SQL), UI/UX design, IIS, SQL, .NET, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS. His design and interface style was implemented on literally every facet of our applications and our clients routinely remarked about how easy the systems that he designed were to learn and use. Mike has surprised me repeatedly with his ability to quickly pull up an email from three years ago as a reference to a modern issue. He manages correspondences with clients and staff in a way that is efficient, professional, while still being personal. His communication style is genuine and effective, and served him and our company well both internally and with outside partners to our organization. Lastly, Mike has passion. In the face of a challenge, I believe Mike is actually excited about an opportunity to examine a problem and find a solution for it quickly.", and "I first became acquainted with Michael in 2010 through Pangea Foundation's software application AASC Online—a web-based toolset used by resident service coordinators to document the needs of seniors living in affordable housing. I would later go on to join AASC Online’s Client Advisory Board and work with him to prioritize service coordinators’ feedback and direct user-recommended changes to AASC Online. It was evident from the start that Michael holds high standards for himself, and has a strong commitment to both ongoing application improvement and maintaining a high degree of trust and rapport with his clients. Michael is strongly motivated to achieve optimal project results through strategic planning, client-driven processes, and effective follow through. His high level of understanding, competence, and forward thinking lends itself to the ability to anticipate the needs of his clients prior to the client even recognizing that the need exists. Michael displays extraordinary enthusiasm in helping others understand the basic aspects of his company's software applications, along with advanced user techniques, to help make data collection and reporting easier to perform. He accepts challenging projects with passion and is committed to a high standard of professional excellence. Michael would be a great addition to any organization, and I wholeheartedly recommend him based on my interactions working with him."
