Michael is an accomplished Automotive Engineer and Program Manager with over seven years’ experience in industry collaborating closely with both prominent OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to manager and deliver key projects.Currently, Michael is working within the Commercial Vehicles team at Volkswagen Group Australia. During his tenure, he has aided in the successful launch of two major local conversion projects and more recently has taken on a temporary assignment as Launch Program Manager for the largest Commercial Vehicles product launch in the past decade, which was brought to market with resounding positive feedback.In previous roles, he has successfully coordinated the full engineering perimeter of a major vehicle commodity across three international projects covering design, development, industrialization and final launch phases. Notably, the most recent of these undertakings spanned a three-year period, marred by the complexities of Brexit and the challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, Michael’s team delivered an engineer perimeter totaling of over thirty-six thousand hours and seventy components, on time and with exceptional margin.Michael’s potential has been recognized through his career; seeing him selected for the ‘Future Managerial Talent’ group, becoming a ‘Change Agent’ for local process adjustments and being identified as a candidate for mentoring by senior individuals, specifically tailored to nurture his leadership capabilities in anticipation of future roles. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering (BEng).
