In 2007 Michael acquired a hospitality business in Jersey City called Lucky 7 Tavern. Within 3 years, revenues at Lucky 7 had doubled and Garcia opened a second business in Jersey City called Satis Bistro. Opening a business during the financial crisis of 2008-2009 was challenging, but Satis was well received and has been such a success that Garcia and partners formed the Restaurant Development Group Ltd (RDG) as a hospitality holding company. A third business was added to the group in May of 2015 called Raval Tapas Bar. Revenues in 2016 will exceed $6,000,000 and with over 50 employees, job opportunities continue to grow at RDG as noted by NJ Monthly and NJbiz.
