Developed and managed all strategic communications to promote organizational initiatives and fundraising, including social media, listservs, press releases, and website updates.Accomplishments: -- Wrote and disseminated press releases that led to organization’s work being covered in New York Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg Law News, The Body, POZ Magazine, Positively Aware, NPR, and NBC News-- Organized press conference on U.S. Capitol to address proposed federal cuts for HIV funding-- Developed #PrEPSaves and #SaveHIVFunding campaigns that generated over 5,000 letters sent to representatives in Congress and White House and #NatlPrEPProgramNow campaign that garnered over 6,000 signatures in support of a federally-funded National PrEP Program-- Convened two national in-person “PrEP In Black America” summits to bring together Black HIV prevention advocates and professionals to strategize on how to address racial and gender disparities in PrEP utlization and uptake-- Wrote presentation abstracts that were accepted at United State Conference on HIV/AIDS, Biomedical HIV Prevention Summit, and AIDSWatch-- Assisted in operations and development, including co-writing funding proposals, co-writing funding reports, programmatic budgeting, invoice processing, and payroll.

Featured in social marketing campaign to promote preexposure prophylaxis (or PrEP), the use of a daily pill to prevent acquiring HIV. The national campaign is featured on social media, radio, bus ads, and billboards beginning April 2018. Greater Than AIDS ambassadors are a part of a diverse national network of HIV/AIDS advocates who address various issues such as testing, prevention, treatment, and stigma.

Coordinate enrollment in Rapid Entry Clinic for patients newly diagnosed with HIV, living with HIV but never in care, or individuals out of care and without medication for six months or more. Identify patient barriers to care and refer to needed support services and long-term care within 3 business days/72 hours. Develop and implement a sustainable HIV care plan with each client to implement within 30 days before transferring to long-term care and medical case management.

Educate and assist clients with accessing PrEP, the use of once a day pill that prevents acquiring HIV, including conducting sexual health risk assessments, enrollment in medication assistance programs, and making referrals to other health and support services.

Coordinated targeted HIV counseling and testing, linkage-to-care, and condom distribution for African-American and Latinx heterosexual individuals at increased risk for HIV infection in the Greater New Orleans area. Also developed several sexual health presentations to educate the community about HIV and STIs, proper condom usage, PrEP/PEP, and Treatment as Prevention.

Coordinated and implemented CLEAR and CRCS, one-on-one evidence-based HIV risk reduction and health promotion interventions with African-American men who have sex with men (MSM), ages 16-29, who were living with HIV. Also responsible for mental health and substance abuse assessments and making appropriate referrals for all clients receiving STI screenings through LGBTQ Wellness Center.
