Reporting directly into the Office of the CEO, my role focuses on strategic planning and reporting for our head office, business development, and M&A execution teams.

Executed M&A transactions within the Harris Public Sector group, specifically in the Local Government and Education software verticals.My responsibilities included conducting financial and market analysis to provide valuations and deal terms to prospects; identifying and nurturing potential target companies; managing the due diligence process, which involved coordinating internal and external resources to ensure that all relevant information was gathered and analyzed in a timely and thorough manner; negotiation and execution of term sheets, letters of intent, and final purchase agreements; coordinating with cross-functional teams to integrate acquired companies and ensure a smooth transition.Throughout my time in this role, our team had successfully closed 3 transactions in a period of 1 year.

Responsible for full-cycle accounting for four business units within the Harris Public Sector Group Portfolio: CityView, Harris ERP, Harris Local Government, and Harris Recording Solutions. I was directly responsible for managing a large team of AR, AP, and Analysts in fulfilment of our accounting and reporting duties.My successful initiatives and projects during this role included implementing a career progression framework for internal finance resources to evaluate and benchmark their performance in order for career advancement; the implementation of Blackline - a tool for GL account review and certification - which ultimately supported our efforts for more timely, accurate, and complete reporting.

Acted as a full-cycle accountant for the Harris Identity Solutions (formerly Harris Enterprise Master Patient Index) business unit. My responsibilities included revenue recognition on complex long-term POC projects, support on FP&A, completion of all journal entries and reconciliations, and providing the majority of finance-related support.My successful initiatives and projects during this role included the roll-out of Subscription Billing, which automated the invoicing and deferred revenue recognition on support, SaaS, and subscription contracts.

Acted as a junior accountant for the greater Harris QuadraMed business unit. My responsibilities included revenue recognition on complex long-term POC projects, deferred revenue recognition, support on FP&A, and preparation/reconciliation of the majority of balance sheet accounts (fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and commissions among others).My successful initiatives and projects during this role included the roll-out of Nexus, a streamlined AP and vendor management system for accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices.

Oversaw the working capital position of the Harris Healthcare vertical. My responsibilities included developing a framework for measuring AR collection efficiency, implementing best billing/collection practices on newly acquired businesses, and ensuring compliance with our Corporate Finance group's service level agreement with our business units. Our primary goal was to provide a high level of AR collection efficiency so that our business units could focus on operations.My successful initiatives and projects during this role included the roll-out of CreditHound, a working capital and AR management system that automated numerous areas of the AR collection process to improve efficiency and overall AR aging across the group.

Provided full-cycle AR support for various business units within the Harris Public Sector Group. My responsibilities included managing a business unit's cash receipts, invoice processing and delivery, billing errors/disputes, and AR collection efforts. My tasks eventually expanded to AR aging cleanup on newly acquired businesses, with the goal of implementing Harris best practices on AR and working capital management.My successful initiatives and projects during this role included the roll-out of a standard Corporate Finance Service Level Agreement (SLA) with our business units. These SLAs provided clear guidance and benchmarks for our business units to evaluate how we on the Corporate Finance team were addressing their AR needs - items such as timely invoicing, billing dispute resolution, and AR aging.
