He is a past chair of Breakthrough T1D's Communications Committee and also served on the Government Relations, International Development, Field Operations,Children’s Congress Committee’s and Research Advisory Board. He was the lead architect of their international branding initiative in 2000. Currently he is a Strategic Advisor to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative where he previously served on its Steering Committee and was Chair, Communications.
