Lead Test Engineer
Current• Assisted in facilitation of sprint planning, daily scrum stand-ups, retrospectives, stakeholder meetings, and software demonstrations• Led in part, the migration from Parasoft to Karate framework for API testing, without any loss in functionality or downtime• Implemented additional utilities in karate to provide a common library for repeated functions. ie...timestamps, random numbers/string, encoding/decoding gzip and b64 objects• Lead development in Karate (scala for Gatling) for performance and load testing of customer facing APIs• Revamped Hopper team services to streamline effectiveness and improve coverage• Trained new test team members on services before taking on new jobs and continue to remain available for questions related to previous test setups, new test implementations, and general how-to’s• Continue mentoring of test team members and conduct knowledge transfer trainings when needed• Work with internal teams to enhance nightly test automation runs to incorporate numerous scenarios such as user type, account type, compliance state, and such without duplicating tests by implementing the use of a different field in git pipeline options and code within karate to select correct scenario(s)• Make complex systems understandable by detailing individual parts/steps and they fit together to provide the complete picture• Help coordinate architecture design and potential future issues with Business Development, Product Management and other stakeholders to help improve the product/service before any development begins• Updated Goldberg team testing to new karate strategy, from postman and manual processes• Encouraged Goldberg team to implement test endpoints for Kafka services to facilitate automation testing for internal services• Participate in Goldberg Best get-together to discuss internal improvements that can be implemented to help facilitate a better service for our customers/consumers
