Michael C. Miller has over 30 years of law enforcement experience where he has worked at the city, county, tribal, and federal levels. Currently, Mr. Miller is serving as the Chief of Police for the Colleyville Police Department, Texas. He served as the Assistant Chief of Police for the Coral Gables Police Department, Florida for over 5 years before returning to his home state of Texas. Prior to joining the Coral Gables Police Department, he served in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 6 years as the Special Assistant to the Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services Branch and as the Special Advisor to the Assistant Director of the Directorate of Intelligence. He also served for 2 years as an FBI detailee to the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs as the Deputy Associate Director of Law Enforcement Operations. Prior to joining the FBI, he spent 13 years as a management consulting executive where he held several increasingly responsible positions focusing on public safety and law enforcement. Most notably, he served for three years as the Global Program Executive for Accenture’s Immigration, Justice & Public Safety practice. He also spent 11 years as regular and reserve Deputy Sheriff in Wise County, Texas, and 5 years as a reserve police officer in Addison, Texas. Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Public Administration degree from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and is a graduate of Session #65 of the Police Executive Research Forum's (PERF) Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP) in Boston. The Executive Assistant Director’s office is responsible for more than 12, 000 FBI employees that address both Criminal and National Security missions and a budget of over $800 million. The collective divisions within the branch represent the largest operational entity within the FBI, and together, completed more than 70,000 investigations and 250 undercover operations in 2009.Selected, as part of the FBI Director's Strategic Execution Team, to lead a team of more than 30 special agents, intelligence analysts and professional staff in the implementation of intelligence reforms in one of the Bureau’s largest field offices. This team worked with the field office executive management team to implement changes to the Dallas Field Office organizational structure, intelligence related business processes, and trained the entire office on these changes. This effort represents the biggest transformation in the history of the FBI as the organization moves from a reactive posture to being intelligence-led. -

Responsible for the development of the project plan, timeline, financials, and resource needs. Delivered the project on time and within budget.
