First technical hire and SME that built a team who laid the foundational infrastructure and systems for what became Netflix Animation. Also consulted across the organization internally on initiatives including marketing, games, developer productivity, vfx, and post production. Expertise in high performance storage and compute, license procurement, ci/cd workflows, VDI infra leveraging pcoip, helpdesk, application deployment, software development, and global data pipelines.

Working with the incredible artistic talent at Halon, Michael helps to ensure that they have the tools and infrastructure they need to produce their creative vision. He is responsible for overseeing the entire IT infrastructure from packets to pixels and has re-architected Halon's network and compute systems from the ground up.Michael is also responsible for the physical and digital security of our clients work. He has successfully engaged with CTO's from the major Hollywood production companies to develop security standards and complete audits ensuring Halon's status as a Tier 0 vendor.Currently working on optimizing onset workflows and in-house pipelines while exploring how bleeding edge and alternative technologies can provide increased value, better pictures, and more creative freedom to our clients. As the founding CTO for MATTERvr, Michael has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategic technology, security, pipeline, and devops decisions. Michael has helped Look FX grow from a small single shop in Hollywood to a cutting edge worldwide entity. He currently oversees the worldwide technology requirements for the company with offices in Los Angeles CA, Brooklyn NY, Vancouver BC Canada, and Stuttgart Germany. He is responsible for the corporate infrastructure and security including (but not limited to) network design and architecture, storage systems, compute clusters, backup and archive, distributed computing, workstations, and phone systems. Additionally Michael oversees the production pipeline design and integration for a distributed worldwide workflow including software customization, automation, and proprietary tool design.
