As producer of News Hour, Afternoon and Evening shows on Share Radio, I outline the structure of the shows and decide on how we approach the content each day. On a daily basis, I prepare the teams for the shows, choosing what stories to pursue and the angles we want to take.I edit and oversee editing of clips to be used on the shows that day. Background research for interviews to be conducted live is also done to help prepare the presenters ahead of interviews to be done that day.I drive the direction of the shows and work with my researchers and assistant producers to secure guests that reflect the main themes of the show: macro developments and in particular economic themes affecting the investment world; business ethics; investment trends and politics. In addition, I develop and plan future shows and content ideas. This includes working in conjunction with our sponsors to produce special slots.Within the show, some of the slots that I produce include The Investment Trust Show,The Apprentice Investor, The Magazine Review, The Business of Sport, Conversations of Africa with Chris Bishop and our Investment Hour. Aside from producing these I also present The Business of Sport. This is a weekly show which looks at the issues in the boardroom of sporting organisations.

My time at Raidio Corca Baiscin offered me a real grounding in the technical aspects of radio and journalism. Here, I had the responsibility of researching and producing the flagship current affairs show, Points of View. The show focused on local issues and for it to be a success, I was required to build a network of local business people and journalists who could contribute to the show which I duly did. I also turned my hand to news reading, conducting interviews for other shows. Essentially, I lent a hand wherever I could whether that included scripting, producing or audio editing. I also started another show called "Feirm Cainte"or in English, it basically translates to "Farm Talk". This was a half hour weekly show discussing agricultural stories. Again I did interviews, provided research, scripted and presented each show.

As Communications Officer for a candidate in the European Parliment elections, I had a number of responsibilities. Among these responsibilities was to write press releases on a daily basis, detailing the candidates responses to every day issues. I also liased with publications across the constituency on a daily basis, with press releases and also with photos from the campaign trail. The management of social media was also under my remit, with Twitter being the most popular method of social media used. Spending each day on the campaign trail, next to the candidate on every step, I was able to develop many skills, with my research, social media management and communications skills particularly enhanced.

I worked in Maeho Elementary School as a Native English Teacher. Teaching 4th and 5th grade, I had to introduce and encourage students to work on the speaking side of their English education whilst also engaging them with the language.
