Whether I am behind a computer screen or behind the grill, I remain myself. Someone whose curiosity has led him to studying design and politics, learning culinary arts, and most recently, venturing into software development. Unwavering and curious, my appetite for knowledge that excites and exhilarates is insatiable. Each new field I found myself in, I absorbed the knowledge like a sponge and became a more well rounded person because of it. I approached each position I have had with excitement to learn more but never realized that I was bringing something to each role. Naturally drawn to those around me, I found that I my greatest contributions were through lifting those around me and analyzing skills and situations to output a positive viewpoint and positive results.Through different roles in different fields I have discovered many strengths and weaknesses in myself. My time in a kitchen has taught me invaluable lessons about how to work with others in high-pressure situations, as well how I operate in these situations. I am constantly acquiring new knowledge and trying to find ways to incorporate it into my personal or professional life. My decision to become a Software Developer was a culmination of all my past experiences. The excitement and drive I have for Software Development motivates me to step out of my comfort zone to create new connections and learn everything I possibly can. I see Java as the first stop on the long journey of my development knowledge.
