• Initially brought in to lead a Brand Development initiative. Despite their superior product, lack of market penetration and advertising left Ashfield Healthcare virtually unknown. Within 60 days, targeted, presented and secured meetings with multiple potential customer groups. Within 6 months, built a $15M pipeline. This created the necessary awareness in the market establishing the foundation for sales growth. • The next effort was a Service Offering Augmentation for the US market. The effort was to improve brand identity and US business intelligence. Conducted a comprehensive analysis of service offerings and researched competitive foothold. Recommended Ashfield develop a completely new product (shared sales force). Presented with forecast data showing ROI within 24 months. This gave Ashfield a product option with a lower price-point.

2009 - 2010 ~1 yr

Executive Director, Business Development

The scope of responsibility in this role was to develop new business relationships to bolster sales. Extreme competition for a large accounts existed in the marketplace. Complicating this role was that these companies had not done business with PDI for many years and PDI was not on any of their preferred vendor lists for contract sales. I began a process of cultivating relationships and influencing RFP specifications to include several solutions with project timelines and outlined key milestones; virtually guaranteeing presentations. Within an average of 120 days, won multiple, multi-million dollar contracts as showcased below;• The Marquee event for this career was capturing and closing a $25M contract with Pfizer the first 30 days. Pfizer continues their relationship with PDI to this day. • Next was Novartis; an $8M contract closed within 90 days. This contract renewed a second time.• Finally Schering-Plough; a $35M contract closed within 180 days.

• The first challenge here was in the area of process development Excellence: Production issues, multiple workflow revisions, and 3rd party service delays caused costs to spiral out of control eroding profitability. Utilized process mapping, established metrics, and built a project management strategy with weekly updates to Sr. management. This transformed production processes from a manual, copy job system to a completely automated paperless production process that delivered permanent cost reductions of 20% and increased overall publishing profitability 10% within 2 years. • I was alos challenged with Revenue Diversification / Expansion: The leadership wanted me to develop innovative solutions to drive revenue growth and diversification after budget constraints and cash flow issues developed. Implemented a project management program, delegated responsibilities to staff, and spearheaded the selection and management of all vendors. Within 6 months, launched new service offerings ahead of schedule and 15% under budget. These efforts expanded service offerings adding a new revenue stream while diversifying revenue concentration.

2002 - 2005 ~3 yrs

Operations Director

• One of my charters was to develop Service Level Improvements and enhance operational reporting systems to accelerate financial approvals and reconciliations but with no budget allocation. Researched and developed a comprehensive operational assessment with outlined technology design requirements and implementation specifications. Within 4 months, designed, developed, and implemented a web-based activities system to monitor, track, and improve service levels. These efforts delivered SOP in multiple categories and improved overall productivity 20%.• Another area of improvement was Training Development & Onboarding: Given responsibility for 50 field-based (work from home) employees and 5 area managers in the service group after high turnover evolved as a result of poorly executed recruiting and onboarding processes. Developed a training program for associates who expressed interest in leadership. Within 90 days, this effort created an internal pool of talent that was motivated to succeed while reducing area manager turnover. To this day, the effort continues to be the standard for training and onboarding.
